Arts Initiative for Placer County

Celebrating the arts

With support from The James Irvine Foundation, Placer Community Foundation established a comprehensive arts initiative to increase the visibility/accessibility of the arts and to promote the sustainability of nonprofit arts organizations ultimately enhancing and sustaining a vibrant arts culture in Placer County.

Based on local research and the contributions of arts organizations throughout the western slope of Placer County, the initiative includes the following components: grantmaking, giving, marketing and operational support for nonprofits.

Audience Development Grants

Supported by The James Irvine Foundation, grants are designed to help local nonprofits engage residents and foster arts and culture in our region.

Placer Endowment for the Arts

Building a permanent source of capital to engage, inspire and enlighten through the arts in communities throughout Placer County.

Collaborative Arts Marketing Program

Thanks to a Placer Community Foundation grant, a new community arts calendar is now available online.

The same grant also underwrote the development of a registry of artists working along the western slope of Placer County, from Dutch Flat to Roseville.

Helping arts thrive

Grants and workshops designed to help nonprofits improve current operations and long-term sustainability.

Placer Community Foundation is seeking a major gift to seed, and perhaps name, the Placer Endowment for the Arts. Contact us to learn more.
