A Touch of Understanding encourages acceptance and respect for all individuals. Educational programs enhance understanding of differences, minimizing discrimination and isolation suffered by individuals perceived as different for any reason, but especially those with disabilities.
Acres of Hope is a long term housing program for homeless women with children. The purpose is to provide the support and resources needed to end the cycles of homelessness in their lives.
Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing works with partners to provide information, housing and support services to the people dealing with mental illness in Placer County.
The American Red Cross, Sacramento Sierra Chapter provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
The Arts Council of Placer County is the catalyst for the arts and humanities. Founded in 1983, this nonprofit, public benefit agency promotes and provides arts and cultural programs and services to families and children, industries and artists in the Placer County communities and cities.
The Assistance League of Greater Placer is a nonprofit, all volunteer organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthropic projects.
The Auburn Community Concert Association provides the residents and families of the greater Auburn and South Placer areas with world-class, high quality musical performances at a very affordable price, and promotes interest in classical and traditional music among school students.
Auburn Area Animal Rescue Foundation (AAARF) is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and permanent placement of homeless domestic animals and to educating the public on responsible pet guardianship.
Auburn Education Foundation secures and distributes contributions from individuals, corporations, and foundations for the benefit and enrichment of students in the Auburn Union Elementary School District.
Auburn Interfaith Food Closet provides emergency food to individuals in Auburn, Meadow Vista, Newcastle and Ophir.
The mission of the Auburn Placer Performing Arts Center, Inc. (APPAC) is to enhance the cultural and economic environment of our community by building and operating a center for the performing arts.
The Auburn Symphony Association established, supports, and promotes the Auburn Symphony Orchestra. The Association also provides opportunities for students, musicians, composers, and audiences to share enriching musical experiences.

The Child Abuse Prevention Council of Placer County's mission is to increase awareness of the problems of child abuse and to encourage and support the creation of coordinated, community-based prevention and intervention services for at-risk and abused children.
Child Advocates of Placer County (a CASA program) advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Placer County Superior Court. Their goal is to provide each child with a safe, permanent, nurturing home.
Citizens Involved Means Better Living works to make Placer County the cleanest county in the state.
