Youth supporting youth

Placer County youth have a lot to offer—fresh ideas, good questions, and a genuine desire to give back. In return, Placer Community Foundation offers youth a great experience in philanthropy through the Grant Advisory Board for Youth (GABY), which launched in October 2007 through the Placer County Peer Court. GABY gives youth opportunities to make a positive difference in the community, both by serving on the Board and by recommending funding for youth-led projects.

Get involved

The GABY program is actively looking for youth between the ages of 12-19 to serve on the Board. Students interested in gaining leadership experience, learning more about funding programs and giving back to the community are encouraged to apply.
