Richard Azevedo
Board Member
Richard Azevedo is a well-established entrepreneur and former Mayor of Auburn, CA (1973-1976). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science from Chapman University and a license as a Real Estate Broker, giving him a broad range of knowledge and experience. Throughout his career, Richard has bought and sold numerous commercial and residential properties, and made investments in almond orchards, nursing homes, and mini storage facilities.
Richard began his career as a Probation Officer for Placer County (1958-1978), following his service in the US Army. After working for a corporation in charge of real estate acquisitions, he decided to start his own business. In addition to serving as a former Mayor, Richard has also served on several boards, including the Water Board, LAFCO, Auburn Bank Board, Hwy Commission, and Auburn Fair Board.
In his semi-retirement, Richard cherishes time with his friends, family, and his Portuguese Water Dog. He continues to be a well-known figure in the Auburn community, having started an investment club that meets every Saturday morning to discover new investment opportunities and help develop new investors.
