Auburn State Theatre, Incorporated is a non-profit organization operating and renovating the State Theatre, Auburn’s downtown centerpiece. Originally opened in 1930, the State Theatre rapidly became the destination for entertainment and movies in the foothill area. Today, the theater is a focal point for local and regional culture, music, live entertainment, film, civic engagement, and historical activity.
Auburn State Theatre's goal is the preservation of this historical venue in order to provide an opportunity for all visitors to experience live theatre for years to come. Planned gifts and bequests will be dedicated to preserving and operating the State Theatre Building. All gifts will be endowed in perpetuity and invested for growth, with earnings allocated to this important work.
