Placer County Library provides free and open access to services, programs, and materials that enrich, inform, empower, and entertain. The Library is committed to being a valuable source of information and lifelong learning to the residents of our communities.
The Placer County Library Fund at Placer Community Foundation was established to meet the growing needs of the community the Library serves. It also offers local philanthropy the opportunity to help mitigate funding cuts our libraries face nationally. Facility improvements, purchase of additional resource materials and the development of special projects to address the varied needs of library patrons are just some of the ways this Fund is designed to provide vital support.
People of all ages and circumstances turn to Placer County Library for their basic information needs. Whether they are seniors looking for health information, job seekers looking for a place to improve their skills or submit a job application, or primary school students looking for afterschool and summer enrichment opportunities the libraries within the Placer County Library System are being accessed in greater numbers and a wider variety of ways than ever before. They are a place of increased pride among county residents and are worthy of support by the many who access them.
