Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 9:30am- 11am on Zoom Registration deadline: Friday, April 22nd Presenter: Becky Lunders of teamWorks
In this training, organizations will learn to strategize on how to best connect and utilize volunteers in the current landscape. COVID has majorly shifted the way we leverage volunteers, but one thing has not changed: the need for strong relationships. Join Becky Lunders as she shares the volunteer management strategies of her company, teamWorks.
Attending nonprofit staff and boards will:
• Explore why organizations need two types of volunteers: leaders and worker bees in order to reduce burnout and build capacity • Identify where to find these volunteers in your community (and in your own organization!) • Brainstorm with other nonprofits so we can tap into these people and systems that will help us make a greater impact
This virtual workshop will address the need to do things differently to recruit, retain and recognize volunteers. We can no longer take for granted that volunteers will keep coming back without a little nurturing! This session will help your team move from reactive (or crisis mode) into a much more calm space of proactive volunteer management.
Suggested Participants: Staff or members of any organization working on the volunteer program or engaging volunteers for their nonprofit; including: Executive Directors, Volunteer Coordinators/Managers, board members and volunteers themselves
Cost: Free, thanks to our generous 2022 Nonprofit Initiative sponsors
