Chey Bryant

Board Member

Chey Bryant is a Michigan transplant who migrated to California over 50 years ago and came home to Auburn in 1984. She is a retired Human Resources Director for Nationwide Insurance Company in California. With a focus on aligning people practices with organizational values and goals, her worked included leadership development and effectiveness, associate engagement, organizational design, change management and strategic planning. As a trusted advisor she partnered with associates and leaders to develop and sponsor Associate Resource Group programs, including a Women in Business group, an Asian Affinity Group, a Latin Leadership Council and a Gen Y Resource Group, resulting in collaboration, understanding and development opportunities for both leaders and associates.

 

She also led and participated in a number of community-based initiatives with United Way, Women’s Empowerment and Women in Philanthropy in Sacramento. She was an active member of the Caring Hearts Society (CHS) in Auburn for many years and continued her involvement in the community after retirement as a Sight Word Buster and a member of the Placer Community Foundation Giving Circle. Chey has served on the PCF Grants Committee for many years and is currently on the founding committee for the PCF Unity for Equality Endowment Fund

 

Chey and her husband Mark live on the Canyon in Auburn where they enjoy hiking, gardening  and cooking for and entertaining family and friends. When not at home, they’re probably traveling to visit their six grandchildren in Sacramento, Houston or New York City.
